What is an Emirates ID?

The Emirates ID is a mandatory identity card for all UAE citizens and residents, and it is issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) in the UAE. The card contains personal information such as name, photo, date of birth, and residency status, and it is used for a wide range of purposes, including accessing government services and opening bank accounts. It is important to always carry your Emirates ID with you.

What are the steps of getting the Emirates ID?

You can apply for a new Emirates ID card online through the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) or in person at one of the accredited typing centres located throughout the UAE. You might need to visit one of ICP’s service centres to provide your biometric details.

However, if you have your visa issued by SPC Free Zone by choosing our VIP services, the cost of the Emirates ID is included.

VIP Medical Assistance for Emirates ID

Our VIP Medical and Emirates ID Assistance service helps you avoid frequent visits to the Emirates ID centre to renew your residence permit. We provide a full range of VIP services from physical examination to the collection of test results and accompanying you to the Emirates ID centre, where we complete all documentation as well as assist with the biometrics process. We will also collect your Emirates ID on your behalf.

Steps of VIP Medical Assistance

Renewal of Emirates ID

The time limit to renew an expired ID card is 30 days from the date of expiry, after which late fines will apply. Note that after the Emirates ID expires, the ID holder must apply for its renewal. SPC Free Zone can help you with Emirates ID renewal.
